Beverly Weeks is an author, international speaker, ordained minister, and C.E.O. of Cry Freedom Missions. She leads a powerful team that Reaches, Rescues, and Restores Survivors of Human Trafficking. Through jail and hotel outreaches, Cry Freedom Missions locates survivors and helps them find safety and resources in our emergency shelter at the Freedom Home. Survivors can then enter our long-term care program to recover, heal, and get back on their feet. After graduation, they can remain on sight at our transitional home for an addition year. In 2019, Beverly founded the Cry Freedom Missions Shoppe that provides employment for survivors and revenue for the Freedom Home.

“Goldsboro is poised to see future growth due to our proximity to the Raleigh market. We have great potential. We need leadership who will work to get us there. If I am elected your next Council member, I will focus on the issues we face today but also plan for the next 20 years and what we will look like in 2043. We need to focus on people whether it’s a battered mother, a young student in high school, a 20- something looking for work, a 40-something struggling with addiction or a retired couple looking for their new life paradise. We need a City Hall that will serve our residents today and plan a future that is full of hope and promise.”
