Public safety is the top priority for local government. It’s paramount that we support our first responders. We must make sure our salary schedules are competitive so we can recruit and retain the best police officers and fire fighters. I will support their in-service training programs to uplift their agencies and professionalism. I will support their equipment budgets to ensure they have the equipment they need to best serve our city.  I will work with our County Commissioners and School Board Members to make sure our schools, elementary, middle, and high schools have school resource officers. We must make sure our students, teachers and support staff have a safe, nurturing environment for learning.
